How can Counselling help?

We offer a non-judgemental approach, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings and to say those things that are often left unsaid.

Helping you to gain clarity and perspective on the issues causing stress, depression and anxiety.

Supporting you through a crisis, a bereavement or the end of a relationship.

Challenging your negative thoughts and beliefs.

Helping you to use your own resources to manage problem situations and to find your own solutions.

Providing the opportunity for you to receive the support you need to resolve issues and make decisions.

Exploring your options and supporting you in considering and implementing changes, if desired.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is frequently mentioned following a major disaster such as a rail crash or in relation to celebrities with major personal issues. This may cause some people to feel that counselling should only be sought to help deal with a dramatic situation. But this is not the case. People come to Counselling for many different reasons. They might be depressed, worried, confused or just feeling bad about themselves. There might be a problem with their relationships within the family or with their partner. Or they might be having difficulties at work.

Both men and women come to Counselling. Some will have seen a counsellor before, for others it will be the first time.

Whoever you are, whatever your age, whatever the problem or situation is that you are facing, it can help to talk things through  with an understanding “outsider”.

When life is a blur, Counselling can help you see the main issues more clearly
